From Local Sources
JASPER — Neither driver was injured in a rear-end collision Tuesday afternoon just east of Jasper.
Jennifer J. Ramos, 20, Jasper, was eastbound on 15th Street in a 2007 Toyota Camry when the 4:51 p.m. mishap occurred just west of Meridian Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
Ramos told a deputy she could not stop in time after cresting a hill and encountering a line of traffic stopped in front of her.
The Ramos Camry struck the rear of a 2011 Toyota driven by Charles W. Cravens, 55, Tell City, according to the sheriff’s office.
Total damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
A deputy gave Ramos a written warning for following too closely.
