HUNTINGBURG — Police serving a Vanderburgh County warrant on an Evansville woman this morning in Huntingburg accused her of a new criminal offense while taking her into custody.
At 9:40 a.m., Indiana State Police Trooper Brock Werne attempted to serve a Vanderburgh County warrant on 43-year-old Barbara J. Lankford of Evansville.
Werne’s information was that Lankford worked at Farbest Foods in Huntingburg.
After arriving there, speaking with staff members and investigating, it was alleged that Lankford was in possession of methamphetamine while at work.
Lankford was placed into custody on the Vanderburgh County warrant as a preliminary Level 6 felony count of methamphetamine possession in Dubois County.
Authorities booked Lankford into the Dubois County Security Center at 10:38 a.m.
