Walter “Morris” Beaty, 85, of West Baden Springs, passed away on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, at his residence.
He was born September 20, 1934, in Orange County to Walter S. and Anna “Eloise” (Taylor) Beaty. Morris married Dorothy May Tolbert on January 2, 1952, and she survives.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and four brothers, George, Raymond, Perry Joe and Nick Beaty.
Morris was a member for many years of the Red Quarry Church, and he enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He worked construction for Lindsey Lumber, Doyle Lumber in Loogootee, and he was a known painter around town.
Morris is survived by his wife, Dorothy May Tolbert, West Baden Springs; two sons, Gordon “Lynn” Beaty, West Baden Springs, and Rick Dale Beaty, French Lick; one sister, Sandra StewartWest Baden Springs; one brother, Richard Beaty, Greentop, Missouri; two grandchildren, Anthony Wayne Beaty and Tom Terwiske; one great-grandchildren, Mason Terwiske.
Cremation was chosen and a private service will be held at a later date.
Arrangements are in the care of Brosmer-Kemple Funeral Service in French Lick.
