March 19, 2020From Local Sources
Walmart is taking additional steps in an effort to make it easier for associates to stock, clean and sanitize stores.
Starting today, store operatings will adjust to 7 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. The company notes that associates will continue to have access to their regular shifts and full hours.
The company is also launching special shopping hours for its older customers. From March 24 through April 28, stores will host an hourlong senior shopping event every Tuesday for customers age 60 and older. This will start one hour before the store opens. Pharmacies and Vision Centers will also be open during this time.
The company will also have limits for customers on items in certain categories, including paper products, milk, eggs, cleaning supplies, hand sanitizer, water, diapers, wipes, formula and baby food.
The company’s Auto Care Centers will temporarily shut down and Vision Centers will operate on their normal schedule, providing essential services only, such as glasses repair and helping customers pick up existing orders.
