HUNTINGBURG — Amber Wahl has announced her intention to run for the Huntingburg Common Council seat for the 4th Precinct as an Independent candidate.
Wahl, 28, is employed with the State of Indiana through the Dubois County Department of Child Services. She has degrees in homeland security and public safety from Vincennes University, paralegal studies from Ivy Tech, general studies from Ivy Tech and a paralegal certificate from Indiana University-Purdue University at Indianapolis.
She and her husband, Brian M. Wahl, live in Huntingburg with their five children, Braylee 7, Briella 5, Benson 2, Bristol 11 months and Baby Wahl due in November.
The family also owns New View Pressure Washing LLC and rental property throughout Huntingburg. Amber also volunteers her time at local events for our community’s youth.
“I am excited for the possible opportunity to ensure our City remains a safe, family friendly community for future generations to raise their families and do business,” Amber said. “I believe growth in our city is a key to keeping younger generations in our community to raise their children. If elected, I will represent all walks of life, and beliefs as I believe those who work together can be a stronger voice.”
