From Local Sources
JASPER — The American Cancer Society is currently seeking volunteer drivers in Dubois County to ensure cancer patients get to and from treatment through the society’s Road to Recovery program.
Road to Recovery is a nationwide program.
An information meeting for anyone interested in becoming a volunteer driver will be held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Lange Fuhs Cancer Center in Jasper. The meeting will provide an opportunity for potential volunteers to learn about the program and get any questions answered.
To be a volunteer driver, an interested person must have a reliable vehicle, a valid driver’s liscense, proof of auto insurance, a good driving record and access to a computer.
For additional information or to volunteer, call 1-800-227-2345 or visit cancer.org.
To register for the information meeting, call Melissa at 317-440-8851 or email email@example.com by Monday.
