Virtual Soil Health Lunch Set for FebruaryJanuary 25, 2021
The Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District’s VUJC Land Stewardship Initiative will be hosting a virtual Soil Health Diagnostic Series in February. This free Lunch ‘N Learn series will begin at 11:30 AM EST every Wednesday, via Zoom. Sessions are scheduled February 3, 10, 17, and 24. Those with limited computer or internet access can use a phone to join in. Each session will last one hour.
A mix of soil demonstrations, conversations with local landowners, and conversations with soil health professionals are planned. Videos and photographs of farms from around Dubois County will be featured. Our schedule includes:
Feb. 3 - What is Soil Health - Measurement and Assessment
Feb. 10 - Changes to VUJC Land Stewardship Initiative Soil Health
Feb. 17 - Local Farmer Testimonials
Feb. 24 - Resources Available to Achieve Changes on Your Farm
The Soil Health Diagnostic Series is FREE, but registration is required at least one day before each session. A Zoom link & detailed log in or phone in instructions will be provided to registrants prior to each session.
The Soil Health Diagnostic Series is being presented by the VUJC Land Stewardship Initiative, Dubois County Soil and Water Conservation District, United States Department of Agriculture, Purdue Extension-Dubois County, and Conservation Cropping Systems Initiative.
