January 5, 2021By Herald Staff
The Purdue “Grow Your Farm Operation” series is designed to help the next generation of agricultural producers develop key skills for tomorrow's farm operations. The series will be delivered virtually via Zoom starting on Tuesday, Jan. 12, and continuing weekly through Tuesday, March 2, from 6:30 to 9 p.m.
The eight-session series includes topics of corn and soybean production, integrated pest management, precision agriculture and drones, grain marketing, financial management, communications, succession planning, and legal do's and don'ts. The series ends with a panel discussion of leading farmers exploring ways to diversify your farm operation to leverage success, and the series includes a local networking session to further discuss the session's speaker or to review additional topic information. PARP, CCH, and CCA CEU credits are also available.
Registration by Jan. 8 is $100/farm operation, and is available at: https://tinyurl.com/GYFO2021.
