Vigil planned for missing manFebruary 7, 2020
From Local Sources
WASHINGTON — A vigil will be held this weekend for a Washington man who has been missing since Aug. 3.
The vigil is set for 6 p.m. Saturday at the Maysville United Methodist Church in Washington. The day is Daniel Grannan’s 73rd birthday.
Grannan was the subject of a Silver Alert issued after he went missing Aug. 3. He was last seen at 8 p.m. that Monday in the Washington area. Family members say Grannan’s home was in Maysville, which is just west of Washington.
Grannan is 5-feet-9, 175 pounds, and has gray hair with brown eyes, a tattoo of a heart on his upper right arm and skin graft scars below his belly button and forearm. He is currently listed on the Indiana Missing Person Bulletin.
Daviess County Sheriff Gary Allison told The Herald last month that the investigation into Grannan’s disappearance is ongoing. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Daviess County Sheriff’s Department at 812-254-1060 or call 911.
Daniel is the father of Lori Jones of Petersburg and Chris Grannan of Princeton.
Family and friends are invited to gather for Saturday’s vigil.
