HUNTINGBURG — Police made an arrest Friday after being called concerning a reported shoplifting incident at the CVS Pharmacy, 610 N. Main St.
The Huntingburg Police Department reviewed video footage of the theft that included the taking of nail polish and mascara at 6:23 p.m. Thursday and recognized the suspect as Adrienne S. Gehlhausen, 27, 1160 Hopf Ave., Jasper.
Police made contact with Gehlhausen later Friday morning. During questioning at the Huntingburg Police Station, Gehlhausen allegedly admitted to taking the items.
During the investigation, police also alleged Gehlhausen was found to be in possession of two generic Xanax pills without a prescription.
Authorities booked Gehlhausen into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:15 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of theft and illegal possession of a controlled substance. Gehlhausen posted bond Saturday morning.
