Victor Herman Pfaff, 83, of Jasper, passed away at 10:42 a.m. Wednesday, August 21, 2019, in Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in Jasper.
He was born at Ireland on May 27, 1936 to John and Marie (Striegel) Pfaff. He married Janet L. Wehr on November 13, 1959. She preceded him in death on October 19, 2016.
Victor was a graduate of Ireland High School and a U.S. Army Veteran serving in Germany.
Victor Pfaff retired from the City of Jasper where he was superintendent of the City of Jasper’s Electric Municipal Utilities Department for many years.
He was a member of Redemption Christian Church in Jasper and V.F.W. Post # 673 in Jasper.
He was a Beekeeper, Horseshoe Pitcher and avid St. Louis Baseball fan and IU Basketball fan.
Surviving are four sons, Brian Pfaff (Angie), Jasper, Ryan Pfaff (Shirley) Tell City, Mark Pfaff (Tami), Otwell, and Mike Pfaff (Laura), Herndon, Virginia; nine grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and two brothers, Richard Pfaff (Donna), Plainfield, and Ronnie Pfaff (Kim), Jasper.
Preceding him in death besides his wife are two sisters, Dolores Curry and Marge Hinkley; one brother, Louis Pfaff; and one grandson, Daniel Pfaff.
Funeral services for Victor Pfaff will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 24. 2019, in Redemption Christian Church in Jasper. Pastor Darrel Land will officiate. Burial to follow at a later date.
Friends may call at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper from 8 a.m. Saturday until the 11:00 a.m. service time at church. V.F.W. Post # 673 will conduct Military Honors.
Memorial contributions may be made to Redemption Christian Church or the Daniel Pfaff endowment fund.
