HUNTINGBURG — No injuries were reported after a pickup truck-versus-van collision late Friday morning east of Holland.
Chandler A. Balsmeyer, 17, Huntingburg, was backing a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado from a private drive along County Road 500W when the 11:45 a.m. mishap occurred south of County Road 900S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said Balsmeyer failed to notice a southbound 1998 Chevrolet G10 driven by Ronald L. Gogel, 63, Dale.
Balsmeyer backed out and his truck struck the Gogel Chevrolet.
Total damage was estimated to have exceeded $5,000 but both vehicles were drivable.
