FERDINAND — Total damage was estimated at $3,500 when passenger cars collided Friday at 12th and Main streets.
Evan R. Hamilton, 22, Ferdinand, was attempting to turn northbound on Main Street from West 12th Street in a 2016 Chevrolet Cobalt at the time of the 10:44 a.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Police said the Hamilton Cobalt struck the driver-side rear of a 2007 Nissan being driven by Brian L. Chang, 25, Indianapolis.
Hamilton stated he did not see the Chang Nissan until his car collided with it, according to police.
Damage was estimated at $2,500 to the Chang Nissan and $1,000 to the Hamilton Chevrolet.
Both vehicles were able to be driven from the scene.
