Vehicles bump in restaurant’s drive-thru

FERDINAND — Damage was minor when a car bumped into the back of an SUV Thursday in the Arby’s drive-thru at 40 Industrial Park Road.
The Ferdinand Police Department reported a 2015 Chevrolet SUV driven by Kasey Vonderheide, 34, Ferdinand, was bumped by a 2008 Ford sedan driven by Sara Wilmes, 83, Ferdinand, at 4:05 p.m.
The mishap occurred when Wilmes failed to place her car in park while waiting in line, according to police. The Wilmes Ford rolled forward and made contact with the Vonderheide Chevrolet but the damage was very minor, police said.
No citations were issued but police faulted Wilmes for following too closely.
Both vehicles were driven from the scene.
