HOLLAND — A Vanderburgh County woman avoided injury when her car collided with a deer late Monday night north of Holland.
Judith Killion, 57, Evansville, was southbound on State Road 161 when the 11:57 p.m. accident occurred north of Old State Road 64, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Killion car sustained between $1,000 and $2,500 in bumper, headlight assembly, hood and front fender damage when it collided with a deer that came onto the highway from the east.
Killion was able to drive from the scene.
The sheriff’s office was unable to locate the injured deer.
