JASPER — A Vanderburgh County man was accused of impaired driving after a traffic stop early Sunday in Jasper.

A 2019 Dodge Ram driven by Scott D. Buedel, 50, Evansville, was stopped near Jackson Street and Third Avenue at 1:17 a.m. after a Jasper Police Department officer observed that Buedel failed to signal and disregarded a stop light at that intersection, according to Indiana State Police.

Buedel’s blood alcohol content allegedly tested .148 percent after a certified breath test.

Authorities booked Buedel into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:47 a.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond later in the day.
