Before remembering to put the kneeler down, Meredith Kluesner of Ireland, 8, left, Layla Pryor of Jasper, 8, and Katelyn Young of Ireland, 8, struggled to get a good view during Mass at Vacation Bible School on Wednesday at St. Mary Church in Ireland. Over 140 kids are participating in the weeklong VBS. This year’s theme is “Shipwrecked-Rescued by Jesus.” The week will end with inflatable bounce houses and slides on Friday.

Dressed as a disciple, Chloe Beck of Ireland, 12, ran into the rainforest canopy decorations backstage during the Bible stories skit.

Taryn Schmitt of Jasper, 13, entered the Bible stories skit dressed as an angel.

Abby Beck of Ireland reminded her son Garrett, 5, to be quiet Mass.

Ava Werner of Ireland, 12, left, Kella Lichlyter of Ireland, 13, Brianna Williams of Ireland, 13, Grace Colvin of Jasper, 16, and Karleigh Lemond of Jasper, 13, practiced lines backstage.
