HUNTINGBURG — Beginning Monday, Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center’s Urgent Care Center will begin offering telemedicine services as well as online/phone pre-registration. Telemedicine is a video visit with a health care provider that can be done from the comfort of home or other location.
Telemedicine visits require the use of a smartphone, tablet, laptop or computer with internet access, a camera and microphone. Telemedicine consultations are private and secure.
Beginning on Memorial Day, patients planning to go to the Urgent Care Center for treatment are strongly encouraged to call or go online to pre-register before going to the clinic. Any walk-in patients will be required to wait in their vehicle after check-in until the provider is ready.
Urgent Care Center is open 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week, excluding holidays. The hours for Memorial Day are 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. To schedule a telemedicine visit or pre-register for an appointment, go online to https://www.mhhcc.org/our-services/urgent-care/ or call (812) 683-4717.
