JASPER — Police ticketed a Kentucky woman after an SUV-versus-passenger car collision Tuesday afternoon at Seventh and Newton streets.
Both vehicles involved in the 2:05 p.m. mishap were northbound on Newton Street approaching Seventh Street, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Police said Diana Haney, 46, Fordsville, Kentucky, was in the left lane of Newton Street in a 2016 Toyota Rav4 and Danny W. Rose, 54, French Lick, was beside the Haney SUV in the right-hand lane driving a 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix.
Haney changed lanes, police said, and her Toyota struck the Rose Pontiac.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Haney Toyota and $3,500 to the Rose Pontiac.
An officer cited Haney for unsafe lane movement.
