Two cars damaged in Friday accident

JASPER — A Friday accident in Jasper left two cars damaged but no one injured.
Evelyn Sermersheim, 81, Jasper, was trying to make an illegal turn from Newton Street onto Sixth Street. As Sermersheim turned, Jessica James, 33, Tell City, drove through the intersection. The front passenger side of James’ car collided with Sermersheim’s rear passenger side.
Sermersheim was cited for improper turning, and her rear passenger quarter panel was damaged. James was cited for driving while suspended, and the front of her car was damaged.
