DUFF — A wrecker was needed after a pickup-truck-versus-deer collision Wednesday morning north of Duff.
Andrew J. Long, 29, Huntingburg, was northbound on County Road 600W in a 1998 Dodge Ram 1500 series when the 5:20 a.m. accident occurred 500 feet north of County Road 100S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Long’s truck collided with a deer that entered onto the county road from the east.
Damage to the truck’s grille, front bumper and hood was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
A Sternberg Automotive Group wrecker towed the Dodge because of the damage.
