JASPER — Police say a truck sustained extensive grille, hood and headlight assembly damage when it collided with a deer Saturday morning east of Jasper.
Paula J. Wehr, 60, St. Anthony, was westbound on State Road 164 in a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 series pickup truck when the 8:35 a.m. accident occurred east of County Road 330E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy estimated damage to have exceeded $5,000 when Wehr’s truck colleded with a deer that came onto the highway from the north.
Despite the damage, the truck was able to be driven from the scene.
