Truck strikes temporary construction sign

HUNTINGBURG — A wrecker was needed for disabling damage sustained by a Spencer County motorist’s truck Tuesday morning south of Huntingburg.
John C. Lubbehusen, 60, Dale, was southbound on U.S. 231 in a 2012 Ford F-150 when the 5:15 a.m. mishap occurred 100 feet south of County Road 1100S, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said a temporary construction sign was in the roadway for an unknown reason and Lubbehusen’s truck struck it.
Damage to the driver-side front and rear tires was estimated at less than $1,000.
A Ruxer Ford wrecker assisted.
