JASPER — A Huntingburg man was injured in an accident at Newton and Ninth streets Thursday morning.

Matthew Runion, 38, of Huntingburg complained of neck pain, Jasper Police said. Police did not say if Runion went to the hospital.

Runion was on a 2011 Tao Tao scooter at 5:40 a.m. and had stopped in northbound traffic on Newton Street, police said. Charles Stetter, 73, of Huntingburg, was also driving north on Newton and was approaching the stopped traffic. Stetter’s truck rear ended Runion’s scooter, police said.

There was minor damage to the vehicles, police said. Stetter was cited for following too closely.
