FERDINAND — A Ferdinand man suffered injury Tuesday evening when the pickup truck he was driving was involved in a collision in the Ferdinand Country Plaza shopping center lot.
Tony Aders, 65, Ferdinand, was driving through the plaza lot in a 2001 Dodge Dakota at the time of the 6:12 p.m. accident, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Aders was in front of Horseman’s Paradise on his way to Holiday Foods and was not paying attention when his truck struck the concrete base of a light pole, police reported.
Ferdinand police reported Aders was bleeding from the left hand and complained of head pain but declined to be transported from the scene for further treatment.
The truck was totaled in the accident, police said.
The Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department’s first responders, Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services and a Berg’s Garage wrecker assisted.
