Truck finds Celestine ditchDecember 19, 2019

CELESTINE — No injuries were recorded when a pickup truck ran into a Celestine ditch Friday night.
Jacob E. Deel, 17, Celestine, was turning from Celestine Road North onto State Road 164 in a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado at the time of the 9:27 p.m. mishap, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Deel turned east on the highway and, for an unknown reason, his truck ran into a ditch 250 feet west of De La Harlandire Road on the south side of the highway.
Deel said the truck lost traction when he made the turn.
Damage was estimated between $2,500 and $5,000.
