DUFF — A Huntingburg man’s pickup truck required a tow after an early Sunday morning mishap south of Duff.
Eric A. Ayala, 20, Huntingburg, had been southbound at the point Duff Road South turns into County Road 500S when his 1986 Nissan King Cab pickup truck ran off the west side of the roadway, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
The truck stopped in a ditch and the accident was reported to the sheriff’s department at 2:23 a.m.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500 and the truck was towed by a Uebelhor & Sons wrecker because of damages incurred.
A deputy cited Ayala for speed too fast to avoid a collision.
