FERDINAND — No citations were issued after a pickup truck collided with a car Saturday afternoon at an intersection on Ferdinand’s south side.
Clarence Enmen, 71, Bristow, was waiting on Industrial Park Road to turn north onto State Road 162 in his 2012 Chevrolet Malibu at the time of the 12:32 p.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Also stopped at the traffic signal behind Enmen was a 2015 Toyota pickup truck driven by Dennis White, 70, of Ferdinand, police said.
Police said White was watching the traffic signal, and when it turned green, he started forward.
Enmen had not yet moved from his location and a minor rear-end collision resulted, according to police.
Damage was estimated at $2,000 to the Enmen Chevrolet and $100 to the White Toyota.
Police said it was believed White was responsible for the accident and was following too closely.
Both vehicles were driven from the scene and police said both drivers had been wearing seat belts.
