Training In Real Life

Dubois County Sheriff’s Department Jail Officer Toby Oser, left, portrayed a surrendering suspect as Jasper Police Department officers Grant Goffinet and Aaron Schmitt participated in a training simulation of a domestic dispute resulting in an injured officer in Dubois on Thursday. The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department and Jasper Police Department conducted the training simulations in a house that will be burned down in a training exercise for the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department this weekend. “This kind of training is real-life training that we don’t get to do all the time,” said Jasper Police Department Sgt. Adam Bower.
