Traffic stops results in OWI arrest

HUNTINGBURG — A Saturday night traffic stop in Huntingburg resulted in an impaired driving arrest.
The Huntingburg Police Department reports stopping a Honda passenger car after the driver, Jose Del Pilar Hernandez Heredia, 30, 609 Church Ave., Huntingburg, failed to stop or signal at the First and Walnut streets intersection at 9:45 p.m.
Police said Hernandez Heredia’s blood alcohol content later tested .10% at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Authorities booked Hernandez Heredia into the Dubois County Security Center at 12:20 a.m. Sunday on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. Hernandez Heredia was granted a conditional release later in the morning.
