JASPER — Indiana State Police arrested a Huntingburg man after a weekend traffic stop and accused him of impaired driving.
A trooper stopped a 2001 Honda Civic driven by Jose W. Cerna Vanegas, 39, 512 E. Fifth St., Huntingburg, at 12:13 a.m. on U.S. 231 near WITZ Road because of improper lane usage.
Police allege Cerna Vanegas’ blood alcohol content tested .09 percent in a certified test at the Jasper Police Station.
Authorities booked Cerna Vanegas into the Dubois County Security Center at 1:35 a.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated. He posted bond later in the morning.
