JASPER — A report Thursday evening of a vehicle running off the road at the Dubois County Community Corrections Center ultimately resulted in an arrest.
Jasper Police Department officers answering the 6 p.m. call at the facility on Brucke Strasse observed the 2004 Jeep Cherokee leaving the parking lot.
Police stopped the SUV on West Second Street after observing it speeding and noting improper lane usage.
Officers said the driver, Amy M. Freeman, 38, 1628 W. Division Road, Jasper, was determined to be under the influence of alcohol. Police said her blood alcohol content tested .17% in a certified test at the Jasper Police Station.
Authorities booked Freeman into the Dubois County Security Center at 8:39 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of operating while intoxicated.
