Traffic stop nets Jasper drug arrestOctober 9, 2019

JASPER — A Tuesday night traffic stop on Jasper’s east side resulted in a drug arrest.
The Jasper Police Department reports summoning a K-9 unit to the stop involving a Chevrolet Colorado pickup truck in the 600 block of Second Avenue/State Road 164.
A positive indication by the K-9 was followed by the discovery of drug paraphernalia that included a small scale and a smoking pipe, plus a white, crystalline substance that allegedly tested positive as 3.5 grams of methamphetamine.
Anthony Wilmes, 30, 13132 E. Main St., St. Meinrad, was taken into custody on preliminary charges of Level 6 felony methamphetamine possession and misdemeanor possession of paraphernalia.
Authorities booked Wilmes into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:15 a.m. today.
