Traffic stop leads to marijuana arrest

From Local Sources

JASPER — A police officer made an arrest Thursday night after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from a vehicle he stopped at 13th and Dewey streets.

Caleb J. Hundley, 23, 923 Mill St., was identified as the driver of the 2002 Chevrolet Cavalier involved in the 9:31 p.m. traffic stop, according to the Jasper Police Department.

Police alleged a small amount of marijuana was located during a search of the vehicle, which was towed by a Sternberg Automotive Group wrecker.

Authorities booked Hundley into the Dubois County Security Center at 9:59 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of possession of marijuana. He posted bond a short time later.
