JASPER — Police accused a man of impaired driving after a Saturday evening traffic stop in Jasper.
The Jasper Police Department stopped a 2006 Jeep Commander driven by Lance R. Camplin, 36, 707 E. 15th St., Jasper, at 7:37 p.m. near Third Avenue and Mill Street after observing Camplin fail to signal a turn.
While speaking with Camplin, officers determined he was acting odd. After field sobriety testing, Camplin was transported for further testing at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center.
Police said Camplin tested positive for amphetamines and marijuana.
Authorities booked Camplin into the Dubois County Security Center at 11:51 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of operating while intoxicated (drugs).
