Senior Minister Darrel Land witnessed the marriage vows of Tracy Rose Mehringer and Jeffrey Alan Mehling, both of Ferdinand, at 3 p.m. Saturday, April 27, 2013. The ceremony took place in Christian Church of Jasper, Jasper.
Glen and Marcia Mehringer of Jasper and Joseph and Judy Mehling of Ferdinand are parents of the couple.
Tricia Mehringer and Lenny Schepers, godparents of the bride, were lectors.
Craig Weyer and Samantha Smugala played the guitar and sang for the ceremony. Selections were “Between the Raindrops,” “Marry Me,” “Lost in This Moment With You,” “Amazing Grace,” “Mama’s Song” and “I Will Be Here.”
Program and bubble attendants were Faith and Niya Zazzetti, nieces of the bridegroom.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, chose a lace gown with a straight neckline, beaded crystals and a satin waistband with flowers and feathers. The fitted and flared skirt extended into a semi-cathedral train with luxe satin lining. The bride carried a bouquet of ivory roses, freesia and ranunculus.
Kelly Mehringer of Jasper was maid of honor for her sister. Also attending the bride were Britni Erny of Jasper and Lisa Meyers of Auburn, N.Y., friends of the bride; Jill Mehringer of Ferdinand, sister-in-law of the bride; Jill Zazzetti of Ferdinand, sister of the bridegroom; and Nicole Warner of Jasper, cousin of the bride. Halle Zazzetti of Ferdinand, Addison Mehling of St. Anthony and Ella Mehling of Dubois, godchildren of the bridegroom, were flower girls.
They wore floor-length gowns of Victorian lilac chiffon with sweetheart necklines and crisscross straps. They carried bouquets of green spider mums, roses, button mums and ivory freesia.
Best man was Greg Mehling of Dubois, brother of the bridegroom. Groomsmen were Doug Mehling of St. Anthony, brother of the bridegroom; Jeremy Mehringer of Ferdinand, brother of the bride; Tony Zazzetti of Ferdinand, brother-in-law of the bridegroom; and Scott Berger of Bretzville, friend of the bridegroom. Josh Luebbehusen of St. Louis, Mo., and Holt Ellis of Indianapolis, friends, were ushers. Ring bearers were Mason Zazzetti, godchild of the bridegroom, and Reid Mehringer, nephew of the bride, both of Ferdinand.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Mehringer chose a floor-length, trumpet-style gown of amethyst chiffon with a V-neckline and a satin waistband with flower detail. Mrs. Mehling wore a floor-length, A-line gown of amethyst chiffon with a ruched bodice accented with crystals.
A reception was held at the Huntingburg Event Center.
The couple is at home in Ferdinand after a wedding trip to San Jose del Cabo, Mexico.
The bride is a 2004 graduate of Jasper High School and received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 2008. She is the guest relations coordinator at Kimball International. Mr. Mehling graduated from Forest Park High School, Ferdinand, in 2000 and received a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University in 2004. He is a pilot for Kimball International.
