Traci Lueken of Schnellville and Adam Gilbert of Grand Rapids, Mich., were married at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 21, 2013. Deacon Ken Johanning witnessed the ceremony in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Schnellville.
Ronald and Brenda Lueken, 9589 E. 175S, Birdseye, and Jim and Beth Gilbert of Grand Rapids are parents of the couple.
Krystal Knust, Logan Ziegler and Tim James, friends of the couple, provided the music for the ceremony.
Maid of honor was Kelli Robertson of Evansville, cousin of the bride. Also attending the bride were Denicia Padgett of St. Louis, Mo., and Sarah Foster of Indianapolis, friends of the bride; Audra Lueken of Celestine, sister-in-law of the bride; Amanda Gilbert of Grand Rapids, sister of the bridegroom; and Sarah Gilbert of Grand Rapids, sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Flower girls were Haylie Lueken of Celestine and Adria Paulin of Huntingburg, godchildren of the bride.
Mr. Gilbert chose his brother, Andrew Gilbert of Grand Rapids, as best man. Groomsmen were Matt Lueken of Celestine, brother of the bride, and Brian Joyce of Evansville, Ryan Witters of Washington, D.C., Ryan Ayala of Chicago, Ill., and Adam Schaafsma of Grand Rapids, friends of the bridegroom.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, selected a tulle ball gown with a beaded bodice, corset-style back and beaded cap sleeves.
The bridesmaids were attired in floor-length gowns of European red satin with pleated straps. They carried white fur muffs with purple and silver ribbon and red snowflakes.
For her daughter’s wedding, Mrs. Lueken chose a teal floor-length dress. Mrs. Gilbert wore a champagne floor-length dress.
A reception was held at Reflections in Huntingburg. Megan and Molly Lueken, cousins of the bride, registered guests.
The couple is at home at 1956 S. 1025E, Birdseye, after a honeymoon to Riviera Maya, Mexico.
The bride graduated from Northeast Dubois High School, Dubois, and the University of Evansville.
She is a physical therapist for Dr. Daniel C. Eby. Mr. Gilbert, who graduated from Comstock Park High School and the University of Evansville, is a physical therapy student at the University of Evansville.
