FERDINAND — Total damage reached $7,000 in a pickup truck-versus-SUV collision Tuesday at State Road 162 and Industrial Park Road.
Joseph P. Underwood, 37, Newburgh, was northbound on State Road 162 in a 2018 Mazda CX5 at the time of the 1:16 p.m. mishap, according to the Ferdinand Police Department.
Underwood stopped for a red light and, when he did, his SUV was rear-ended by a 2005 Ford F-150 driven by Lauren M. Sergesketter, 28, Holland.
Police faulted Sergesketter for following too close but neither driver was injured. Police said both motorists were wearing seat belts.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Underwood Mazda and $2,000 to the Sergesketter Ford.
