EVANSVILLE — All lifesaving efforts were unsuccessful Monday after a missing toddler was found in a koi pond on Evansville’s south side.
The Evansville Police Department was called to the 5100 block of Conlin Avenue at 3:45 p.m. CT to search for the missing 2-year-old boy.
Police said the boy’s father noticed he was missing and called police.
Prior to the officers’ arrival, the child was located in a next door neighbor’s koi pond.
CPR was immediately performed by first responders but the child was later pronounced deceased.
