Time to apply for Strassenfest pageantsFebruary 27, 2020
JASPER — The Jasper Strassenfest Committee is announcing Miss, Junior Miss, Little Miss and Little Mister pageant application deadline and pageant time change.
Deadline to apply is May 31. Applications for the Jasper Strassenfest Miss, Junior Miss, Little Miss and Little Mister pageants are now available at www.jasperstrassenfest.org.
All applicants must live in the Greater Jasper School district and meet the following age requirements.
Miss Strassenfest applicants must be at least age 17 and cannot have had her 21st birthday as of July 30.
Junior Miss applications are open to young ladies entering grades seven and eight as of the 2020-21 school year.
Little Miss and Little Mister applicants must be at least age 7 on or before July 30 and no older than age 8 by Aug. 2.
The Miss and Junior Miss pageants include scholarships awarded to queens and first runners-up. A variety of additional prizes, donated from sponsors, also are included for the entire court and contestants of all pageants.
Jasper Strassenfest Miss, Junior Miss, Little Miss and Little Mister pageants will be held Saturday, July 25, at Redemption Christian Church in Jasper.
New this year, the onstage portion of the pageant, will begin at 3 p.m. Tickets are $5 per person and will be available for purchase at the door.
