From Local Sources
DUBOIS — A Dubois teen escaped injury when the pickup truck he was driving tangled with an ice-covered bridge just north of Dubois.
Kadin B. Breeding, 17, was southbound on State Road 545 in a 1995 Chevrolet G10 when the 6:50 a.m. mishap occurred on the bridge 250 feet south of County Road 450N, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
A deputy said Breeding lost control of the truck on the ice-covered bridge. The vehicle traveled left of center and across the northbound lane, striking the concrete bridge barrier.
The sheriff’s department said the truck was able to be driven from the scene.
Damage was estimated at $1,000 to the truck, while the bridge barrier did not appear to have sustained any damage.
