Teams sought for hog wrestleAugust 29, 2019
DALE — The Dale Fall Festival will host one of its most popular events, the hog wrestle, at 4 p.m. CT Saturday, Sept. 7, on the lot next to Brown Brothers Lumber Company.
Each year, more than 60 four-person teams romp in the mud pit with the hogs. The entry fee is $20 per team.
Classes for this event are girls ages 10 to 15, girls ages 16 and older, boys ages 10 to 15 and boys ages 16 and older. Trophies will be awarded to the team who can put the hog on the tire in the middle of the muddy pit the fastest. There are timed limits.
All entrants must sign a waiver of liability release. If the entrant is younger than 18, a parent must sign for them.
Entry forms can be picked up at the Dale Town Hall or at Lincoln Heritage Public Library in Dale and should be mailed to Hog Wrestle Committee, Chad Seifert, 4473 E. 1900N, Dale IN 47523. There will be a limit of 60 teams. No entry forms will be accepted after noon Saturday, Sept. 7.
