Team projects sought for contestJuly 25, 2019
Kimball Electronics Gives, the employee giving circle for Kimball Electronics, is inviting all schools, students, businesses, adults and other organizations in Dubois County to submit team projects for a contest demonstrating positive social impact to the community during the month of September, which has been dubbed Making A Difference Month in Dubois County.
Teams must submit a one- to three-minute video capturing the spirit of their projects (amateur videos are encouraged), with a YouTube link emailed to email@example.com by Sept. 30.
An awards ceremony, open to the public, will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 10, at the Astra Theatre.
The videos will be shown on the Astra movie screen. The categories are grades one through five; grades six through eight, high school and all others.
The Oct. 10 event will also include Will Read and Sing For Food performers Kyle Lueken, Debbie Schuetter, Rafaela Copetti-Schaick and Scott Saalman, as well as, keynote speaker Alex Rose, professional underwater photographer and science editor of Ocean Geographic magazine and managing editor of Ocean Geographic Explorers.
Ticket information pending, though admission will be $10 per seat and will ultimately go to various charities in the Dubois County area as part of Kimball Electronics Gives’ granting event later this year.
