JASPER — Tierra-Derco International, LLC has announced leadership changes for the organization.
Mike Bartley has been promoted to president of the Jasper-based company that is a forerunner in supplying innovative products to the garden center industry. He will be replacing Charles Stenftenagel, co-owner, who will maintain chairman of the board and other executive duties.
Bartley came to TDI Brands as general manager in 2012 and has led the company through five years of consistent growth and coordinated the acquisition on Stone Age Creations. Bartley will preside over all corporate operations, functions, and divisions. Previously, he spent more than 22 years with Masterbrand Cabinets in various finance and management positions. Bartley holds a B.S. degree in accounting from Ball State University and lives in Jaspe with his wife, Bridgette. They have three children, Tyler, Jacob and Grace.
“I am incredibly excited and honored to have the opportunity to lead a great team at TDI Brands," Bartely said in a press release announcing the changes. "I am also humbled and appreciate the confidence (co-owners) Charles (Stenftenagel) and Gabe (Coderre) have in me taking over the reins of this organization. We have built a strong team at TDI Brands over the last five years, and we are well poised for continued growth and success. TDI Brands has great people, great products, and world class service, which provide a great foundation as we move forward,” Bartley commented.
Holly Mundy has been promoted to vice president, sales and marketing.
Mundy came to TDI Brands in 2016 as director of marketing and business development and has made a significant impact to the company’s sales and marketing performance, according to the releasee.
In her new position, Mundy will create and manage new business opportunities, manage the company’s sales teams, oversee marketing, customer service and lead the product development team.
Mundy has more than 18 years of experience working in various aspects of marketing and customer relations. Prior to joining TDI Brands, she was brand manager for JThomas Parts. She has a B.S. degree in marketing and international business from Indiana University Kelley School of Business.
Mundy lives in Jasper with her husband, Chad. They have two children, Regan and Carter.
Chris Sternberg has been promoted to chief financial officer.
Sternberg came to TDI Brands in 2013 as controller and has been instrumental in developing process and procedure within the organization, including the procurement and finance functions.
Sternberg most recently held the position of director of operations.
He has more than 18 years of experience in various accounting and finance roles over his career. Prior to joining TDI Brands, Sternberg was capital assets manager at Masterbrand Cabinets. He has a B.S. degree in mathematics from the University of Evansville. Sternberg lives in Jasper with his wife, Sally. They have three children, Matthew, Kaelyn and Emilie.
A national supplier of tools, accessories and accents, TDI Brands has supplied products to the U.S. garden center industry for more than 22 years.
