SUV-vs-passenger car damage tops $6KApril 29, 2019

JASPER — Police say total damage topped $6,000 when an SUV collided with a passenger car Thursday morning at 41st Street and Manor Drive.
Jisela N. Macias, 28, Jasper, was northbound on Manor Drive in a 2004 Honda Accord at the time of the 5:26 a.m. mishap, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Police say Maritza E. Lopez, 27, Jasper, who was westbound on 41st Street in a 2013 Nissan Pathfinder, did not see Macias’ car when she attempted to turn south onto Manor Drive.
Lopez went left of center and her Pathfinder struck the driver’s-side front of the Macias Accord, according to police.
Damage was estimated at $4,000 to the Lopez Nissan and $2,500 to the Macias Honda.
There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
