From Local Sources
JASPER — Total damage reached $7,000 in an SUV-versus-minivan collision Thursday morning on Kellerville Road near 15th Street.
Joseph D. Lindenschmidt, 37, Shoals, was southbound on Kellerville Road in a 2009 Dodge Grand Caravan at the time of the 7:56 a.m. mishap, according to the Jasper Police Department.
Lindenschmidt slowed to turn east into a Kimball International plant’s parking lot and, when he did, his van was rear-ended by a 2007 Kia Sorento driven by Melissa R. Vogler, 49, Jasper, according to police.
Vogler did not notice that the Lindenschmidt van had stopped, police said.
Damage was estimated at $5,000 to the Vogler Sorento and $2,000 to the Lindenschmidt Grand Caravan.
There were no injuries and no citations were issued.
