CELESTINE — A Crawford County motorist’s SUV was towed for disabling damage sustained in a Saturday morning collision with a deer southwest of Celestine.
Edna M. Raines, 47, English, was eastbound on Schnellville Road in a 2005 Mercury Mariner when the 6:22 a.m. accident occurred 300 feet west of Santine Road, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the Raines Mercury collided with a deer that came onto the travel portion of the county road from the north.
Damage that included a broken radiator was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
A Zellar Towing wrecker assisted.
