SUV strikes roadside ditch

HUNTINGBURG — A Jasper motorist declined to be transported for treatment after the SUV she was driving crashed Saturday morning south of Huntingburg.
Katelyn N. Klem, 22, Jasper, was westbound on County Road 1000S in the 2002 Chevrolet Traverse when the 6:04 a.m. accident occurred 500 feet east of U.S. 231, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Klem lost control of the SUV, which crossed the centerline and struck a ditch off the south side of the roadway.
The St. Henry Volunteer Fire Department, a Sternberg Automotive Group wrecker and Memorial Hospital Emergency Medical Services assisted.
