SUV strikes deer in HuntingburgJanuary 31, 2020

HUNTINGBURG — No injuries were reported in an SUV-versus-deer collision early Sunday at Huntingburg.
Annette L. Mundy, 56, Huntingburg, was eastbound on Sunset Drive in a 2006 Toyota Highlander when the 3:19 a.m. accident occurred 300 feet west of Lakeview Drive, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said the front passenger side of the Mundy Highlander struck a deer that came onto the roadway from the south.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
A deputy located the deer deceased at the scene.
