JASPER — A Vanderburgh County woman said she was unfamiliar with the road and took a curve too fast after her SUV ran into a ditch along a county road northeast of Jasper Friday evening.
Morgan T. Carpenter, 24, Evansville, was eastbound at the curve where County Road 500W turns into County Road 400N at the time of the 7 p.m. mishap, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy said Carpenter’s 2018 Chevrolet TrailBlazer left the roadway in the curve and stopped in a ditch on the north side of the roadway.
Damage was estimated between $1,000 and $2,500.
